How Do You Track Progress?

A lot of people base their results around what they see on the scales. They could have an amazing week of training and eating healthy, but when they weigh in and haven’t lost any weight, they give up. This is why using scales (to determine positive changes can be) a bad idea.

When people say they want to lose weight, they actually mean they want to lose fat. We encourage weight training because this helps our clients to maintain/increase muscle mass whilst working to decrease their body fat. This can mean the scales don’t change as much as they would like, however this is the best way to lose fat and keep it off. 

Here are 6 other signs you are making progress rather than sticking to the scales.

1. You have more energy.

2. You’re gaining strength.

3. You have a new mindset.

4.  You have more confidence. 

5. You’re previous workout is now too easy.

6. You look and feel leaner.

Don’t just use the scales. As focusing just on these always ends up in disappointment.
