Should you use the scales to measure your results?

Using the scales to measure your results can be a good thing or a bad thing.  For some people, it provides a method of reinforcement that helps them stick to their goals; for others, it is disheartening, frustrating and demotivating.

I like to use the scales with my clients (along with other methods) however if you are serious about getting your results you should also be serious about how you measure them.

 

You should have more than one method of measuring your progress.

 

Here are a few you should try:

 

– Weighing yourself
– Seeing how your clothes fit
– Body fat % machine
– Measure using a measuring tape
– How you feel

 

I recommend you do these no more than once a week to see how things are progressing. Try to choose the same day/time each week to keep things consistent.
